This is a blog managed by various members of the DMV community to document the local music scene around DC. Starting off, we hope to have at least two blog posts per month. These posts will most likely be a concert review/interview with a band local to the DC area, but as we grow, we hope to discuss song releases, artist milestones and new bands to look out for, amongst other forms of content.
We will also feature, when we can, artists from other scenes in Virginia. We have some writers and photographers in Richmond and Southwest Virginia who will contribute to the blog. Hopefully, this will introduce DIY bands who may have otherwise never known about each other. Our first post will be a concert review and interview with Pinky Lemon from their June 3rd show at the Pie Shop. We’re hoping to have this post come out later this week, so keep your eyes peeled!
